In March of 2013 I found some files on one of mom’s old computer hard drives. One of them is a Microsoft Word document named Gavin Blanket.doc and dated February 26th, 2006. I have no idea who Gavin is, but it is a sweet example of what a loving person mom was. Somewhere out there, hopefully, there is a little boy with a warm and snuggly blanket that my mom crocheted for him.
It breaks my heart that my son — her grandson — does not have one. She told me many times that she was working on one for him, but I have not been able to find it.
