“Letters from Mom”

Mom wrote me hundreds of letters and would often send me greeting cards with snipped comics or articles from newspapers or magazines she thought I'd enjoy.

Though we were a continent apart, Mom and Jenny and I frequently would chat via text message for entire Gator football games. She sent me this letter on a Saturday afternoon after we’d just watched #3 Florida crush #24 South Carolina 56-6 in Gainesville. She sealed the envelope with Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore stickers.

P.S. Send Stamps – heh!

Dear David,

I love watching Gator Games with you and Jen!

My friend from church spoke to someone in personnel yesterday. At the same time, I went into Florida Credit Union to make a payment on a small loan, and the manager told me that she knew someone who had gotten the same job I applied for at GRU. Unfortunately, she said it took about 3 months for her to get the job.

So, I still have to figure out how to access my retirement fund in the least expensive way. I’m hoping to get six thousand dollars up front, but I’m not sure about what will happen to the rest of the money and what restrictions there would be if I need to take out any more money in the near future. I think $6000 will do it until I get a job.

I love you,
Mom
