To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to know if you have any openings at Big Brothers Big Sisters. I would be willing to work on a volunteer basis to begin with. Hopefully, I will be able to make a difference at your facility.

For the last six-plus years, I have been the program director for the AmeriCorps Alachua County READS! Program. In that capacity, I have worked with and observed hundreds of students. I also recruited and trained tutors to work one-on-one with students in grades K-3. All of these students were reading below grade level, and, with one-half hour of tutoring per day, the majority of them improved their reading skills.

I have a diverse background, much of it in the business sector in the Daytona Beach area, and I always made a difference. I have encouraged those who I supervised to reach higher.

I am compassionate and caring, and I love children. I will be happy to provide you with references and would dearly like to have the chance to speak to you about my qualifications.
