Dear Administrator:

I would like to ask if you have any open positions at the Boys and Girls clubs in Alachua County. For the last 6.5 years, I have been the Program Director for AmeriCorps Alachua County READS!

In that capacity, I recruited excellent tutors to work daily with students in grades K-3. These students were all reading at least one year behind their grade level and were in danger of falling further back. Our tutors were both teachers and mentors, offering a safe haven and total attention for at least one half hour per day.

The funding for AmeriCorps was not available for the current year, and I am looking for a position with another non-profit. Since we partnered with Boys and Girls Clubs, I thought that you might be willing to check my qualifications and decide whether I could be an asset to the Boys and Girls Clubs.

I have years of working with and for children. I also have excellent organizational talents and have often developed forms and procedures to make either a business or a non-profit run smoother.
