Shortly after mom died, when I was desperate to find anyone who would give me some advice, I spoke with someone at the law firm of Warner & Warner: Personal Injury Attorneys in Casselberry, FL. I had a very long conversation with this person, often in tears, during which I detailed how my mom had been treated by the assisted living facility where she died and the problems I was having while trying to get her doctor to state the cause of her death.
They were unable to help me, and sent me two separate letters stating that over the following months. That was the last I’d heard from anyone there.
I was quite surprised this weekend when, at my house in Los Angeles, I received a Christmas card addressed to my mother. The message reads, “Season’s Greetings and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year from all of us at WARNER + WARNER”
It’s signed, “Wishing you a happy and healthy 2014!” by Scott and Debbie Warner.
