“Letters from Mom”

Mom wrote me hundreds of letters and would often send me greeting cards with snipped comics or articles from newspapers or magazines she thought I'd enjoy.

While she was working for Americorps Mom went to a conference in Orlando and was excited to spend the night at the Renaissance resort there. She sent me one of the complimentary postcards with a photo of the hotel on it.

Hi, David,

Found a free postcard in the desk drawer, and, what the heck?, thought I would drop you a line just to tell you I love you. We’re directly across from Sea World, but, of course, have no time to go there.

Love you, See you soon,
Mom

okay, so it’s not Rome
P.S. Can T      come to Mom’s Party?

The reference to Rome is because I had recently returned from a trip to Italy to celebrate my wife’s birthday. My grandmother’s 85th birthday was later in the month and she was throwing her a party to celebrate.
